Exocytosis

A process in which a vesicle in the cytoplasm of a cell fuses with the plasma membrane to release its contents.

A long, motile, usually single fibre-like extension of a cell. E.g. the tail of a sperm cell.

In humans, 23 unpaired chromosomes instead of the usual 46 in homologous pairs. I.e. half the diploid number of a species.
